do you have a problem?

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them (Albert Einstein)
DEALING WITH A PROBLEm?

You work in an industrial environment and a problem is distracting you from your mission?
At Prosòlveo
we solve problems

SUCCESS STORIES
![]() Cost Out in AutomotiveWe supported a car maker in reducing product cost by re-design the supply chain and the logistic of large stamping parts. This was achievd working in cross-functional teams and thinking 'out of the box' with creative methods. | ![]() Oil&Gas Lead Time and Cost outWe assisted a leader in Oil&Gas turbomachinery to reduce by 50% the order to delivery lead time and 20% cost leveraging on VSM and info-flow methodology. | ![]() Medical Devices Delivery and InventoryWe helped a top player in medical industry to cut by 20% the inventory and improve by 10% the on time delivery working on production planning process and tool. |
|---|---|---|
![]() Food & Beverage machinery cost outWe challenged a machinery manufacturer in Food& Beverage industry to reduce product cost using SDR/3P methodology in Obeya room and modular design. This permitted to re-design product and processes and to introduce new materials and technologies. | ![]() Beauty NPD lead timeWe permitted a global Beauty Company to launch a new product for US market in four months as required by Customer instead of the twelve required to modify the automatic packaging line, saving up heavy contractual penalties. This was achieved trough Lean Innovation and Agile methodologies that permitted to develop two novel technologies in very short time. | ![]() Automotive 1st tier - performanceWe helped a 1st tier automotive supplier of rear mirrors to develop a novel technology to integrate a tri-functional antenna within the mirror matching timing, cost and all the Customer technical requirements. |
![]() Industrial trucks - Assembly productivityWe supported on of the global leaders in industrial trucks industry to increase 10% assembly manpower productivity. We permitted them to analyze in depth the top losses in the assembly line and to eradicate the most frequent root causes involving operators and support functions (with less effort). | ![]() Food production - Delivery and ProductivityWe assisted a large player in Food production to stabilize the manufacturing operations to improve the Delivery of the products vs the central plan. This was achieved using Lean and Six Sigma methologies to reduce losses and production stops. | ![]() Oil & Gas Installation Lead TimeWe challenged a large Oil & gas player, to redesign the standard installation plan at site to recover the two months delivery delay from factory of the main equipment. |
Most success stories we are particularly proud of, deal with product performance by adopting technology transfer or developing a new technology, time to market using Agile methodology, product cost by x-functional end-to-end process review, machine realiability trough Root Cause Analysis on the most frequent families of breakdowns, order lead time by mapping the Value Stream , on time delivery stabilizing the overall process with DMAIC approach, with kaizen, with novel planning tools and logistic changes and with quality & EHS by leveraging on deep dive of top offenders.
HOW WE WORK
We help you to define and split the problem in smaller parts, we provide the right weapons to fix it. Quick and easy for simple problems, more structured and articulated for complex ones.

DEFINE AND SPLIT THE PROBLEM
We help you to define the problem with the information and data available. As you might have experienced, trying to solve a problem without a proper definition, will drive you to hours lost in conflictive meetings and huge effort in numerous actions that in most of the case will not work or last.
Tha's why it is fundamental to slice the problem in simple parts that can be processed.
"A problem well stated is half solved" (Charles Kettering)
"There is only one way to eat an elephant: a bite at a time." (Desmond Tutu)

PRIORITIZE AND DEEP DIVE
By starting with the most relevant parts of the problem, we put out the fire much faster, then thoroughly analyze the root causes to prevent new similar fires from breaking out in the future. For easy problems one day may be enough (eg a Gemba and a 5 Whys or an 8D), for more complex problems two-four months (eg a3, DMAIC, SDR/3P). If your challenge requires a new technology or technical solution, we can develop it in six to twelve months (e.g. leveraging on Lean Innovation methodology).
“Most of us spend too much time on what is urgent and not enough time on what is important.” (Stephen Covey)
"It requires a very unusual mind to undertake the analysis of the obvious." (Alfred North Whitehead)

TARGETED ACTION AND CONTROL
"Action is the foundational key to all success."– Picasso
“There will always be rocks in the road ahead of us. They will be stumbling blocks or stepping stones; it all depends on how you use them.” (Friedrich Nietzsche)
A METHOD FOR EACH PROBLEM (FEW SAMPLES)

Value Stream Mapping
The end-to-end process is mapped finding any activity that is not Value to Customer or a waste. Then the process is re-designed to eliminate or reduce all those activities to maximize Value to Customer, reducing Lead Time.

Six Sigma / DMAIC
Six Sigma/DMAIC is a method based on statistical process control aimed to reduce consumer defects in a product or service.
The objective of the method is to achieve stabilize process to have only 3,4 defective parts per million, which leads to very restrictive limits on the variability of the production process.

A3
A3 problem solving is a Lean approach to report issues and address them. The simple method, bases on documenting a problem, together with its current outcome and a suggested change, on a single sheet of A3 paper.

5Why
5Why is a method that allows to explore cause-and-effect relationships for a problem by asking a simple question and verifying the truthfulness of the answer. The purpose of applying the five questions is to determine the root causes of the problem.

SDR-3P
SDR/3P (Speed Design Review/Production Preparation Process) is a method to re-engineer the product and the processes to improve Cost, Speed and Quality. It is performed in Obeja Room (within manufacturing area) with participants from all the functions.

"Trystorming"
The physical prototyping of several different product ideas allow to improve product much more effectively and in shorter time than traditiona brain storming and 3D modeling methodologies.

Process Chart
In the process chart is a process map at a glance. It contains for each process step, the process scketch, the method, the cycle time, the tools and the machines used and the Poka-Yoka and JIG in place.

7 ways
The 7 ways method is a team brainstorming technique where each member is called to think of seven different ways to develop a part of the product r's needs. All these solutions are then evaluated and partially merged with each other to select the three best ones to prototype.
